Estimating drywall materials accurately is critical for any room renovation or basement finishing project. Ordering too few sheets leads to extra delivery trips and slow work, while ordering too many leaves bulky, fragile plasterboards cluttering your garage.

1. Calculating Drywall Area
To find how much drywall you need, you must calculate the total square footage of the walls and ceilings you plan to cover.
Step 1: Ceiling Area
